Its been less than a week since Boris Johnson resigned as leader of the Conservative Party, but already one candidate is already proving the stand out leader in terms of popularity.

Data from Wikipedia suggests that the Rishi Sunak (currently 7/4) is the stand out candidate in terms of popularity and page views as the race for the next Conservative Leader gathers pace.

The former Chancellor has gathered a whopping average of 33,000 daily page views on Wikipedia, with next best Nadhim Zahawi (currently 20/1) at 24,000 page views.

Rishi Sunak has more than twice the page views of the second favourite in the current betting market, Portsmouth North MP Penny Mordaunt (currently 3/1) who has only 15,000 daily page views.

Despite a desperate week for the Tories, the Conservatives remain the odds-on favourites to win the next election at 4/5, with Labour a close second best at 11/10.

Data suggest Rishi Sunak is proving most popular, with more than twice the daily average page views than second favourite in the betting Penny Mordaunt.
