Andy Holding Tips
Andy Holding’s first piece of advice is thus: avoid horses that are too short in the betting. “It sounds like a cliché, but you should get decent value for money,” he says. “It’s very hard to make a profit backing horses at odds-on, you’re betting against people who know what they’re doing and you need to find some value.”
Once you have the correct field size, you need to know the type of race your horse will be running in.
Keep an eye out for races that are ideal for your horse by paying attention to distance, type of surface and hurdle height. For example, some horses perform better on turf while others like all-weather tracks.
Some horses prefer distance and heavier hurdles while others thrive on shorter distances with smaller hurdles.

If you think that horse racing is all about horses and their jockeys and their trainers and the tracks they run on and the specific races they’re in, then we have news for you.
It’s actually all about RACING. This is a sport that looks to the past with an eye toward moving forward; unlike any other sport out there. These horses have been bred to run like crazy and also some of them are black which is rare (most are just brown).
When it comes to picking a winner at the ITV 7 racing today, trust Andy Holding—you can’t go wrong!

The next tip that Andy talks about is focusing on the present. He says that thinking about your past will not help you achieve your goals, but rather it will hold you back. Don’t think about what you’ve achieved or not achieved; instead, focus on the process of achieving your goals. And don’t worry about the future, because if you’re doing what’s right now in front of you to do, everything else will sort itself out.
The 6th tip of the day will be a bet on the 2.30 at Chelmsford, NAP is Verne Castle, who showed plenty of promise when finishing second in a bumper at Warwick last time out and he has to go close here.

We will take a look at his career, how he got where he is today, and of course, his tips.
Andy Holding was born in Ireland on 17th November 1966. He was trained as a jockey by Jim Bolger and started riding professionally in 1984.
During his time riding professionally, he rode 151 winners from 1246 rides with an impressive strike rate of 12%.
His best season for wins came in 1987 when he claimed 48 victories from 384 rides.
Sadly for all involved, injuries forced him to retire from horse racing at the young age of 24 in 1990.
The jockey always said that riding horses was what he loved doing most but since retiring from riding himself, he has been able to stay involved with horses as an important pundit on At The Races (ATR).
